A New Playbook for Business Acceleration

If you’re considering joining my upcoming webinar, here’s a quick look at what to expect and whether it’s a fit for you. We typically run this session every other week, so if you can’t attend immediately, there will be more opportunities soon.

Much of the content covered in this webinar aligns with my EPIC Leaders course and my book, The Green Beret Way. I know not everyone has time for the full course, and the book isn’t out yet, so this webinar offers a practical way to explore some of the key concepts you’ll find in both.

The goal of this webinar is simple: to give leaders actionable insights into three essential areas where many companies struggle—overcoming leadership ambiguity, aligning short-term actions with long-term goals, and building elite, high-speed teams that Achieve the Impossible. Routinely.®

Why We Need a New Playbook for Business Acceleration

Teamwork Webinar 1

In a world where speed has become the ultimate competitive edge, I’ve seen countless leaders face a common problem: they’re putting in the work, day after day, but somehow, the results just aren’t keeping up with the effort. Even the most experienced CEOs tell me that today’s business landscape feels like a constant scramble, a game of catch-up in which no matter how hard they push, there’s always a lingering feeling of lagging behind.

I designed this upcoming webinar, The CEO’s Guide to Business Acceleration, to tackle exactly that. Not to offer more “hacks” or another list of superficial fixes, but to dig into the core principles that make acceleration possible for any organization—principles I learned in places where every single decision counts. It’s not about pushing harder; it’s about moving smarter and finding your rhythm in a way that brings out the best in your team and keeps your business advancing toward its biggest goals.

Why Business Acceleration is Not Just About Speed

When you hear “acceleration,” the natural instinct is to think about speed—and yes, speed is critical. But speed without purpose is just chaos, and chaos doesn’t help anyone. Accelerating your business is about creating momentum, the kind that builds on itself and brings every part of your organization into alignment.

Acceleration, in this context, is about moving with such purpose that each department, every person, and all the small decisions flow together toward a larger mission. It’s about turning daily operations into something that feels more like a high-performance team moving with one clear aim. Think of it as shifting from a reactive organization into an elite team that moves with the same intent and cohesion you’d see in a Special Forces (SF) unit.

In SF we had no room for guesswork. Every mission came with its own complexities, but success depended on our ability to see through that complexity and stay focused on the core objectives, regardless of what was happening around us. Business, in many ways, is no different. Ambiguity, mixed signals, and half-baked goals are the unseen barriers that keep companies from reaching their full potential.

Clarity in Leadership: The First Step Toward Real Acceleration

One of the things we’ll explore in the webinar is the concept of leadership clarity. As I transitioned from military operations to business leadership, it quickly became clear that many organizations suffer from ambiguity at the top. If a CEO’s goals and expectations are murky, the ripple effect on the team is palpable. Teams can’t operate effectively if they’re second-guessing what’s expected or if they’re constantly reacting to unclear directions.

Playbook Webinar 2

Most people don’t realize that the biggest, most complex military operations—whether D-Day, Desert Storm, Afghanistan, or others—are built on just two simple statements. The rest of the operations order can run a thousand pages or more, detailing the how, but those two sentences are the critical pieces that keep everyone aligned on the ultimate objective, even if they’re separated by hundreds of miles.

These statements anchor the mission once the action begins, guiding every decision as the initial plan shifts to respond to real-time events—often with no time for questions. They empower hundreds of thousands of people to operate interdependently, autonomously, and with purpose. Bringing that level of clarity into a business setting isn’t just helpful; it’s essential to creating a high-performing team that moves with momentum.

Aligning Actions with Goals: The Path to Purposeful Speed

Another reason I designed this webinar is to tackle the disconnect I often see between the vision CEOs, C-Suite, and senior executives have for their companies and the day-to-day operations actually happening on the ground. We’ve all experienced it—those urgent tasks that seem critical at the moment but do little to advance the big-picture goals. It’s as if every distraction has its own way of dragging us off course.

To accelerate in the right direction, there must be a disciplined alignment between short-term actions and long-term objectives. For longer missions it becomes easy for “mission creep” to set in and, if a team isn’t careful, before too long they may be doing things that don’t support the high-level strategy of the National Command Authority. We constantly have to ensure that we “stayed on azimuth” —an alignment of priorities so we didn’t just keep moving, but moved in the right direction.

In a business setting, this means having clear structures and checkpoints that pull daily work into alignment with larger goals. In the webinar I discuss the framework I’ve developed to make this alignment simple yet effective, a way to create a “battle rhythm” of acceleration that feels natural and sustainable.

Building an Elite Team: Acceleration Through Fierce Trust

But no amount of speed or structure can compensate for a lack of high-trust within a team. A high-speed, elite team thrives on what I call “Fierce” or “Active” Trust. Generally, the “impossible” only happens when teams operate in an environment of Fierce Trust, where each member knows leadership empowers them to exercise their full range of talents, abilities, intellect, and insights to reach their fullest potential. Only within this sphere can top performers push boundaries, find the motivation for breakthroughs, and “break with” existing limitations. This isn’t just about camaraderie; it’s about creating an environment where individuals lead themselves—acting with the speed and precision that comes from complete commitment to a shared purpose.

Acceleration Webinar 3

I dig into the framework that makes this kind of team possible in the webinar. By understanding the foundation of Fierce Trust and how to foster it, you can create a team that accelerates together, moves with confidence, and, most importantly, consistently outpaces the competition.

The Takeaway: Acceleration as a Mindset and Mission

The CEO’s Guide to Business Acceleration is not your typical “growth hacks” seminar. It’s about redefining the way you look at leadership, structure, and team dynamics so that acceleration becomes a natural byproduct of the way you operate. My aim isn’t just to talk theory—I share practical approaches that have been tested in some of the highest-stakes environments you can imagine.

If you’re someone who’s ready to lead with purpose, align actions with goals, and cultivate a team that thrives on trust and speed, then this is for you. Business, like any mission, rewards those who move with clarity, resilience, and an unrelenting focus on the end goal.

And while the path to acceleration may be challenging, it’s also one of the most rewarding journeys you can undertake. Join us for the conversation—where we’ll go beyond traditional thinking and look at what truly makes elite teams and high-speed organizations succeed.
